Iveren Verinumbe is a purpose-driven management professional with expertise in entrepreneurship development, economics, operations research, and business administration, with a strong track record in advancing SME growth, agribusiness development, and community empowerment in Nigeria. She currently serves as a Lecturer at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, where she teaches procurement management, supply chain management, and entrepreneurship, while also contributing to academic administration and student mentorship. In parallel, she works as a Consulting Assistant with Falvey Consulting Limited, supporting development programmes such as GIZ/GIAE and USAID FTF through training delivery, value chain facilitation, and capacity building for SMEs, cooperatives, and farmer groups across rice and cassava value chains.

Beyond academia and consulting, Iveren brings hands-on entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and CEO of Fresh Options Ltd, where she leads business strategy and business operations. Her professional journey is complemented by grassroots experience as an Extension Officer, promoting improved farming practices and community adoption of innovations. She possesses strong competencies in entrepreneurial training, strategic planning, data analysis, procurement management, alongside leadership and communication skills. Iveren holds an M.Sc. in Operational Research and Performance Management from Aston University, UK, an MBA in Food Security at Business School Netherlands, a B.Sc. in Economics from Benue State University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at the Federal University, Lafia. She is also actively engaged in community development initiatives and professional networks, contributing to sustainable enterprise.
